| 1 tbsp. | olive oil | 15 ml |
| 3/4 lb. | Québec Pork steaks | 340 g |
| To taste | salt and pepper | |
| 1/2 | red pepper, cut into strips | |
| 1/2 | green pepper, cut into strips | |
| 1/2 | red onion, cut into strips | |
| 1/4 cup | store-bought Italian dressing | 60 ml |
| 4 | small French bread sticks | |
| 1/4 cup | store-bought olive tapenade | 60 ml |
| 8 | slices of Swiss cheese |
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
In a large pan, heat oil over high heat and brown pork for 2 minutes on each side. Season generously.
Add vegetables and continue cooking for 3 to 4 minutes.
Deglaze with vinaigrette and cook for two more minutes.
Cut French bread in two, lengthwise, without cutting all the way through. Open, spread tapenade and top each sandwich with 1/4 of the ingredients. Close each sandwich.
Heat sandwiches in the oven for 5 minutes and serve immediately with fries and crudités.
Substitution
Replace tapenade with basil or sun-dried tomato pesto.
